Here we go a burl of unknown origin, its hard and very dense, suggestions gentlemen. Stands around 5" or 125-30 mm high and and 4-4.5' OR 100-115 mm dia, finished with WOP awaiting a buff to knock back the gloss.

Neil that is a beaut like the gloss look on it helps highlight the grain and as you know I am not a gloss fan.

Nice piece neil, looks like some brown malle burl I have that was growing on yellow clay. :2tsup:

I'd say brown mallee too. What ever it is, it looks great.

not sure if it could be Brown Mallee as it was very light before I soaked it in DIY DO. It would have been as light as if it had a yellow in it.
