After a to long cold winter is this my first project of this year.
I have spent lots of time with making all the parts, gluing etc.
Dimensions of this laminated lidded box 115 mm in diameter, total height 142 mm.
Finished with acrylic lacquer.
Was a fun project.
Cheers, Ad

Now this brings back memories. My Dad use to do something very similar many years ago.

Nice one Ad. :2tsup:

This type of work only ever looks good when everything line's up and this look's fantastic a lot of effort in the set up to produce such a great example.

I note that your geometry & skills are progressing very nicely as you become more adventurous, Ad. Excellent piece - lots of precision in the cutting & compilation. I look forward to getting back to some segmented works myself in around 6-7 months.

Well, I don't think that it is anything that special for you Ad. It is just your normal lovely standard :D

It's a standard I would be very proud of if I could ever get there :2tsup:

I had to leave my workshop earlier today because it was so cold! It seems to be winter one day and summer the next ?

John, thanks, no idea if this is standard for me.
Just collect waste wood and get started.
Better than throwing it. In the fireplace
It looks like the Dutch weather has spilled over to France, huh.
The winter here was very long and cold, began in mid-November to early April.
And actually it's still no spring, today only 10 C

Ad,

we've got to do something in the long cold nights up here in the North!

Very nice box.
