Hi All, I need some help, does anyone know what these tools are used for?

They look like metal scrapers to me.

They are bearing scrapers.

They were used when slipper bearings were pretty rare and bearings were poured into a mould around the bigend of a conrod.

To give them the right clearance, the white metal was "blued", the rod fitted to the crankshaft and lightly tightened. The blue came off the high spots and these were scraped with the tools you have until there was a consistent bearing surface.

Thank God for slipper bearings.:D And yes, I have done it. Showing my age.

I don't know about your Aus eBay site, but we get people posting them on the UK site as 'Antique Turning Tools' all the time.

, you are spot on mate. I have not used one for it's correct purpose but they are very handy for a number of uses.
The last Guy I worked for told me what they were used for.

If you don't have a use for them, folks who play with steam engines and late 1800s - early 1900s machinery still use them when repouring and fitting Babbitt bearings.

I have used one and still have it. Very handy to scrape almost anything.
