G`day Ray. 10 mins by push bike to town which has everything you need. And the pub serves great brekky & dinners.Plenty of timber to knock up a few chisel handles & a big shed too eh! I`d like to get a dam sunk in there sometime.Council says as i`m not a primary producer i can put one in at no more than 100`round/square x 17`D.That`s fine by me.Beauty of a dam is no water rates.Just add a pump.Already paid for & have elec transformer on pole at front & council will run line to 20m inside property for free.I did that when i first bought the block (30 acres).Land rates are less than a dollar a day incl fire levy. gordon

Gordon I was meaning things like Lathes, BS, big boys toys/tools. The beauty would be what is needed you can make.

Does having a Herbert qualify for a lathe/table/bandsaw/planer......? Not to mention a deWalt ras which i have to make a stand for. Certainly enough tinder to give them a good work out. Ha. gordon

Hi old Grains, I remember being at this stage, still looking back I still can't believe the lounge room I'm in, was only a paddock a few short years ago! You might have to trade in your silver rocket, for a real 4x4. You'll need it to get around your block. And you have power? A big shed is a must, any way good luck with it all. Jason.:2tsup:

Hi oldgrain,

That is a great little town Tara. My father had race horses and trained horses for a lot of people there. I was a kid age 6 when we left there, that's over 50 years ago now. The photo that you have there of the hotel my mother use to clean the rooms and floors there. We all use to go there for beer garden they had going there than and they were great night. I had great times there it is wonderful little town except for the death adders and other snakes. It was nice to see some photos of the little town again. I am hoping one day to get back there.

Cheers Graham.

Gday Jason. That lil silver rocket is actually a mates car as i no longer drive. Quad bypass six or so years back left me with a dicky ankle where the surgeon took artery from to make the 4 others.Being skin & bone i have problems with ankle locking or giving away at any time. But i ride a pushy quite well these days! Land is near to level to walk or ride around and also have a home built quad cycle.(thats a side x side bicycle with provision for two sitters at rear). Have transformer on street pole waiting till ready to connect to property.

Gday Graham. Yes,its certainly a great town & has everything you need.Always had top breckies & dinners at the pub as well as the beer garden bbqs. Being fully treed gives me the option of building a big shed and /or house.Although i can use containers/train carriage or whatever as council doesn`t seem to mind. gordon
