Here's a sassafras bowl / platter I turned a few weeks ago but never got around to photographing and uploading. It is roughly 20ish cms diameter. Finished with EEE and then (from memory I think it was) Shellawax Glow. I was not that happy with the overall result of the top side / inside of the bowl, but I was extremely happy with the under side of the bowl.

It's not thin enough to be an ornamental platter. What do you good people all do with the bowls that you aren't sure what to do with? I'm just not sure on a good use and purpose for this bowl.

The bowls that I'am not sure I like I just leave laying around the house and the wife will usually make them disappear. Either give them away or they end up in a cabinet. Sometimes that happens with ones I do like!

Keep it around for a while. As you have the recess on the bottom, you might rechuck and make a thin ornamental platter.

Some of my "not good enough to keep, too good to throw away" turnings I give to my grand daughter, now 7. She uses them when she, I, Bunny, and Bear have a tea party.

I have taken back things from my craft shop seller turnings that didn't sell, rework a bit and then put up for sale again.
