Just got back from the AWTEX in Melbourne. Took a while to thaw out, but nearly back to normal. :) Here is a photo of my entry that won the built up award. It is about 320mm diameter and about 120mm deep. Made largely from maple, but the top was a mix of maple, silky oak and cedar. Took about five weeks to make. This year was the fourth time I have taken out this award.

In order to refute remarks like that it would be great if there was a "Dislike" button."

So here is : "I dislike that post".

To all those good people that took the time to comment... thank you, your comments are noted and appreciated. As for the weather in Melbourne, either I am getting used to it, :o (now that IS frightening) or it was much milder than previously. The latter I hope.

Do you sell these items anywhere?
Many of my pieces are resting quietly in the corner of my home. I don't actively look for sales outlets.

Great workmanship Jim.

Shudder to think how good the next item will be
once you get "warmed up".
