Finished another batch of door handles yesterday for my architect client.
As you can see from the pictures there are even split turned ones in the range. These ones are 150mm dia and are in Tasmanian oak. The darker one is Blackwood 200mm dia. Also a couple of Huon pine numbers.
Oh yeah, the small w.i.p sculpture/carving in the last photo is sort of what you start to feel like when you do too many of these.

Yes, they are glued together with newspaper sandwiched between the joint line.
After they are turned a sharp knock with a chisel on the glue line and they pop apart.

wow the newspaper goes alright then? I have used art paper in the past but it leaves more paper to clean up!
