Two questions
I am replacing a shredded drive belt on a mini lathe model MC1018
(belts don't like the harsh conditions up here in darwin as compared to southern highlands nsw)

First question
where can I get a couple of replacement belts?

second question
how do I get this lathe apart to fit the drive belt? see picture attached
i have removed hand brake, taken pin out of pulley - what next?

thanks

This is a timbecon lathe so they should be able to supply the belts.

There is a couple of circlips in the head stock that need to be removed for you to get the shaft out.
Have a look here on page 21 of the parts list

I think it is most generous of Jim Carroll to offer help on a lathe that some consider inferior, and that Jim does not sell.

Thanks Jim. :2tsup::2tsup::2tsup:

That helpful attitude is what makes this such a great site.
