Just wondering what a good first project would be something not to hard.

Spinning tops and mini baseball bats are quick and good skill builders. Once you have the basics down, small bowls and good fun. So are pens but they require specific bits (mandrel, chuck etc )

Rolling pins ........... Planeing, coves and beads.

Remember that green wood is abundant,easy to cut and mostly free. Perfect for practice. Enjoy :2tsup: Phil.

Its just plain pine. Made from 2x4's glued up.

a project for beads is a foot roller/ massageer! I'll throw a photo up!

this is the foot roller turned between centres I used 50 mm O rings for clearance and grip when in use.
