picked up a little / Big job, I was asked to make 19 handles for branding irons which has blown out to 49 in total.
the handles are spotted Gum with a Water pipe furrel and I had to engrave the end of handle with number on the end so the user knows what they are grabbing and I also painted the engraving so it stands out more.
after cutting blanks to size I predrilled in the lathe then turned them in my other lathe! 30 more to go and I'm finished!

it's all about being lazy! and safe! only cost 10 dollars to make! but get a good welder to weld it it's just bright bar and 100 by 100 flat on top, and craft wood!

Nice work chuck1.

Spotty can be a sod to turn.

Liquid nitrogen eh? Very civilised. I reckon my GP uses that to cool his Martini at the end of surgery.

I had these spinning at 3200 and didn't turn the lathe off to speed up turning time! note don't try this at home there is a nack to doing it! wouldn't surprise me if all doctors did that! ;)
