I work at the reject shop and we sell these "garden stakes" I have had my eye on them for some time as each stake is a different bit of timber, so I bough a pack(only $6), cut up some blanks and this is what turned out! If anyone can identify the timber it would also help :)

Great job on the key rings. Someone off cuts used as steaks now created key rings. I have also been thinking this way but at the moment I have enough small pieces of wood to last for a little while.

Gday.
Just stumbled across this thread.
I followed the Missus into the reject shop the other day.
They had some chopping boards in there for $10 that looked like pretty decent recycled wood.
I was quiet surprised. Might have another look and try some for my desktop pieces I make.

I turn lots of FOG wood, found on ground.
In a furniture store I once asked what kind of wood a nice table was made from. The owner - a friend - said Tis Wood.
WHAT!! As opposed to Taint Wood, he explained.
Nice key chains.
