Bellow you will see the famous Texas Pecan crotch wood bowl. This one had be cut down in 2011 due to storm damage and in came form our downtown area from a historic distirct Called King Williams district. At the time I did not have the right size chain saw to harvest large dia. pieces of this huge tree, so i got what I could lift and here is one half of a crotch section. It is finished with Laquer finish both inside and out. I should add since this was doen in tent for the first time and i did not have a right prop for lifitng the bowl, so what you see in gray is actually my prop to lift the bowl and not ppart of the design.http://www.woodworkersinstitute.com/forum/uploads/15773/Pic.8-100k.jpg
you will notice that the rim is about 3/16" thin and is undercut all the way to the side at the same rate.

I am hoping that all these view will give a good look of the whole piece.
