What chance a supplier or someone can direct me to a source of recycled hardwood. Sizes include 350x80, 370x80 & 450x125 all DAR, select grade. Require for municipal project. Hoping in anticipation.
Thanks

Bob, there are quite a few places around that specialise in this.

There is one at Tyabb but his business name escapes me at the moment.

Suggest you try Yellow pages online and do a search.

You did a good turn!!!!!!
Thanks for the lead. Have found the suppliers, although not the one you suggested. Biggest problem was the sizes. Looks like laminated is the go, but XXXXXy!
We should learn more about recovering chips rather than making them. Will be even more careful to get the max. out of each piece of timber in the future.

Bob,
I've just purchased 20 8"x2"x10' Jarra RECOVERED Planks. They were used for hand rails and not flooring. I found a few second hand tember yards in the yellow pages and made quite a few phone calls. I was told by almost all that this is the season for renovations and we should expect alot of recovered wood to become available. So it seems now is the time to save up for that wood we've all been wondering about and wishing and we had.

All the best,

Barry G. Sumpter

Also try a mob in Mornington called Rescued Timber in Watt St they are in the same entrance as the collection centre Rubbish, got some nice stuff from pencil size to almost trees. They also offer milling.

Thanks Sawdusters,
Have sourced what was required. For the archive,another couple have good sizes;
Barry Pierce Timbers - Healesville,
Rare Woods at Abbotsford.
Someone else may need these in the future.
