well, I just got a pair of anti-vibration gloves. I turn a lot off rough shaped woods, and tough stuff like oak and madrone, and it was giving my hands and wrists a real beating. So, on the advice of Kemp Lanahan over on the south island of NZ, I got some of these gloves. WOW! These really are going to help out on a daily basis and long term as well. Any of you turning on a regular basis should check these out, I bet you will be happy you did. Oh, yeah, they come with half-fingers so you won't have to cut out the tips.

G'day Jeff,

How much were they? Is there a website with info or do you just get them in any old hardware store?

Thanks

Well, I'm in the states, I got them at a local industrial supply company called W.W. Grainger. They have a website, but you would most likely find them for less there in OZ. Try the chainsaw retailers, or if you have safety supply houses they would be a good bet also. I got some of the more pricey ones and paid 26 dollars US for them. They were sold seperately, that is, right hand, left hand.

Although they are sold as "anti Vibration" gloves, it appears to me that they are designed to absorb the shocks, vibrations, etc. Check out this site if you are interested.
