Hi guys,
I made this small camphour bowl today
finished with eee and glow,
a neigbours parents are over from china
and he has taken a bit of interest in wood
and woodturning in general, so i gave him
the bowl to take home with him....
Which got me thinking is there any customs
or quarantine rules about taking timber items
out of australia and in to china???
Any comments and advice welcome:U

Nice work smiife! Does the inside shape follow the outside shape? Customs were good to me comming back from Norfolk island! I did declare everything though!

Hi chuckie,
Yeah, I think if you are up front with officals in the
airport all should be ok.
The bowl Is just rounded inside
Thanks for comments:2tsup:

Nice looking shape .
I have sold several pieces which have gone to China and I can't imagine there would be any problem getting it in .But have been rapped on the nuckles when we forgot to declare a bit of wood holding a wallhanging from China when we were bringing it in.
