A bowl in Manitoba Maple, one of the few local woods we have. It was planted around farm yards and used in windrows as well. About 11 1/2" by 5" by 1/4", finished in lacquer. A donation to a silent auction this thursday. Comments welcome315525315526315527315528315529

very nice. I like the foot too cos it works with the profile curve. Not just a chunk on the bottom. :2tsup:

That's a fantastic looking burl and bowl. Yep, I reckon the foot lifts the bowl and gives it nice form.

Very nice bowl. Nice piece of timber. I also like the foot.

I would like the photos a bit lighter. I use free down load Picasa for adjusting:

Or you could set your camera to the spot meter setting, if available, to avoid reading so much of the white background.

Very nice. I like the clean simple lines, no beads, coves etc. I also like the the way you have treated the foot, nice and fine. A nice piece if timber and well turned. :2tsup:
