Spent a good amount of time in the shed finishing club prize and a couple of lamps for exhibition.
Thankyou John for comming around for a quick inspection of shellac finish! And the pointers.
And to all the other members who popped in thankyou.
Sorry photos are side ways.
there is a close up pic of the fault/branch in the stem of lamp which I filled with ebony putty, I quite like the effect

Looks like you have had a fun day in the shed
lamps look good I just think the bases are a bit big
Just my opion, for what that is worth

Yeah abit smaller next time these bases were 288 diameter, but with such nice grain being the only feature I left them big!

The sleeper lamp is my favourite.
Must get myself some shellac, too.

Nice resolution on the fault. Is the ebony putty like a plastic compound?

Thankyou christos!the putty is timbermate brand it's clay and water based.I find it works very well.
