I'm at the end of my last purchase of Blacksmith's Coke and will be needing to get some more soon, and have been searching .
So far I have found the Mont de Lancey / Wandin Blacksmiting group to be the most likely place to get it . Here is a list . Is there any others that could be recommended for Melbourne?

There is also the ABA if I was a member,

And , Waterside metal art studio as another possibility
Their coke sale has passed , by the looks of it , and their supplier has closed

The last commercial manufacturer of coke that sold to the public was in NSW and has closed. I believe the ABA bought up the last of it and is no longer selling but keeping the reminder for it's own use at the Barn.

Bags of coke can't be compared with a per bag price as the bag size and what you varys to much. For example larger pieces of coke make for more air gaps in the bag and the bags themselves aren't always the same size. Waterside used to sell two different sizes at different price points.

You may have to consider alternate fuel, you could build a retort out of a 44gal drum and make your own fuel.

I am being told that here , I read it somewhere else here as well . But am being told that is not true . The seller at Mont de Lencey tells me there is 30 tons sitting there , and as much as he wants can be had from SA .
looks like I'm going to Wandin.

?? No Kidding  :) I sort of had that one figured out since I was buying lollies at school :U Thanks though .
All the links have a price and the weight of the bag . Mont de lencey is $30 for a 40 KG bag

If I couldn't get it that's what I may have to do . sound interesting , Ive got plenty of wood to try it with .
I will try and get some coke next weekend . Mont de Lency has its open day and I intend to go buy some and have a look, if nothing closer turns up .

Mont de lancey is 5min maybe less from me. I'll probably be there at around 10am on Sunday if you want to meet up. I have go to the city with the Missus after lunch.

It would be interesting to know where in SA Oskar can get it from. I was told that NSW was sold out by the fella that bought that last of it on behalf of the ABA who's personal supply is also nearly finished as I have been using it all in my classes:B.
