First a couple of credits.

I saw the idea at http://www.woodgoblets.com and the watched the awesome Mike Waldt demo on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPTn-ymNEOs.

I'm a newbie turner and I learned a lot about glue-ups and proportions (well, actually I learned a lot of ways how NOT to do those).

Well done .

What are the dimensions and timbers?

It's about 8½ inches x 3 inches and as far as I know, it's all tree wood. :U

Honestly, I have no idea. The dark wood was a laboratory worktop and the light wood was an old bed frame. I have to scavenge all my timber, so I rarely know what it is.
