Does anyone know how to do beautiful inlay in timber?

I dabble a bit in that area, what kind of thing did you have in mind?
Have a look in the marquetry forum I have done a couple of posts In there.

I love the understated Aussie style.
Words like "dabble", i.e. make stunning one-off pieces.
Slightly off-thread, but thirty years ago I was at a cocktail party in England. I heard one of the Pommies asked the late Keith Miller if he had ever played cricket.
With a total straight face, he said "I rolled my arm over now and again."
Understated. I really enjoyed telling the Pommie how good he really was......while Keith went off to chat up some good looking woman.
