This is a little segmented box I finished before I was confined to barracks after a "thing" was removed from the back of my leg. Just crept down to the shed for a "fix" and took some photos while I was down there. This little box measures 50mm high and 45mm diameter, Made from black bean, blue gum and ash. The lid and bottom is black bean with some texturing on the top. There is 336 pieces of timber in this little box. The variation in the different timbers is a bit difficult for thread chasing so I used some gidgee to do the job.

Looks good Jim. Kinda wonder why you put in the top insert though, I thought the pattern shown on the inside of the top would have looked better.

Neil, actually that is the remnants of the glue chuck. When I cut it off, I thought it looked ok, so left it and textured it, just to be a bit different.
