Just finished this Japanese style lamp. Traditionally a candle stick holder I saw in a book I saw by Mr darlow.
it's 800 mm high base is 200 mm diameter and the stem is 28 mm.
the Timber is klantas and I chose jacaranda for the " candle"
3 coats of hard shellac.
Thanks for looking.

Jacarandah for the candle eh?
How does it burn?
What is the wick made from?

The jacaranda is meant to represent a candle, the wick is blue and Brown coated copper wire with a fitting to accept a light bulb.

Ah.
I'd like to see a picture of the finished item in action (lit up) if you can Chuck.
Sure is an unusual commission.
