Some say i could rescue this

It was meant to be a scoop with an off set handle. Let me start by saying it blew up before i turned handle but i decided to turn the handle anyway just as proof of concept. I was told you can not have a double tenon on one end to hild in the jaws but in the first pic you can see I did.
Perhaps some CA on the band and finish with pyrography.😂

LOL a perfect drunks glass. Shame it blew up you had good line and thickness going. Did it blow up on its own, or did you hit it (like I do all the time)?

I was just trying to tidy up the outside as it was slightly out of round and then
BANG!!!
As it ricocheted of my forehead
Took me two hours to find one of the halves. Landed behind a paint tin after being deflected by the cave roof and anything else it happened to come in contact with

That's a pretty spectacular fail you have managed to create there Dave. You will probably have a bit of trouble making a matching pair!.
Nice looking piece of timber. Glad you weren't hurt by the flying debris.
Take care,
Alan...

Yes Alan, very hard to match that one.
Was lucky with the bang. Might wear a face sheild next time.
Oh and my trip to Sydney looks to have been put off another 4 weeks.

OOPS comes to mind and maybe a few other words when that went bang, It would have been a nice scoop. Was it because you had no support at the tailstock end.
Will you have a second go at the scoop with another offset handle. The hndle on this could always be used to make a tool handle if you have any that need replacing

Nothing worse than hearing that bang. Just enough time to close your eye. And wait for impact!
You will have to make some shed time!

Thats funny (mind you could have been serious)
Found an old handsaw sorting my shed back in Jerilderie. When i say old i mean older than my user history. Used to be my dads. Would only be a cheapy as it has a plastic handle (missing a bolt).
Ill have to post a pic. Its not your typical tooth pattern
