I was turning at a mate's place nice Big shed, and before I started he had a tarp and hung like a shower curtain a metre and half behind where I was going to stand.
thought it was a great idea to stop the shavings going right across the shed.
I'm going to fit one near my lathe! One day.

WHAT!! You don't like 150 mm of chips covering all horizontal surfaces?

When I did my apprenticeship we had a trench in front of the lathe and about 2 to 3 feet of shavings behind. It was good if you fell over!
