Nice shape and the foot elevates it to the eye.

Thanks charlie, It seems ages since I posted anything,
I hadn, t realized how you miss turning every weekend
just have been really busy with other things:~

Hi pat, thanks for your thoughts, I wasn, t too sure about
the big foot but I wanted It to be used rather than just
look pretty, being cedar and light timber I thought it
would be more stable,

Hi paul, nice to hear from you, and thanks for your

That's a beauty!! Everything about it is admirable - shape, grain foot and finish.:2tsup::2tsup::2tsup:

I have turned a few items from cedar and always found the finishing could be tricky as the nature
of cedar is for it to get a bit furry. I found that alight touch when sanding , along with a bit of added
moisture helped.

How did you find the finishing process??

Lovely turned pIece.

How thin are te walls?

Hi christos,
Thanks for your comments, 5mm at the top
I left the bottom thicker about 10mm , It is
very light timber and I thought it needed weight
at the base:2tsup:

It does look like a very light piece.
