Where would I get a supply of Indian Ebony? The jet black ebony, not the brown Macassa stuff.

Alternatively, how quick does it grow? My logic is if it grows in India it would grow here. Got some spare ground to plant it in. That brings me to the next question - where would I get a young plant of it?

I buy mine from http://www.bellforestproducts.com/exotic_turning_stock.htmand at the moment it's on special for $25US , normally $35US , for 1.5" x 18" turning squares, shipping for 3 to 4 pieces is around $50US and takes about 9-10 days. By the way the really Black stuff also comes from Africa (Gabon Ebony) , I also buy Macassar off of them but prefer the black stuff.
If you find anywhere local with good supplies please post it here , I had a similar post recently but it's hard to get it in Australia at the moment .
PS: the African blackwood they have is wicked too and fantastic to turn but it's not as black as the Ebony.
