This is my first plate Just wanted to give it a go; this White Oak didn't have the figure like the bowl I made back in Sept. but it's a good gift foe my honey for Christmas.

It's a nice looking plate and has a bit of figuring as well. Do you see it as a practical/useable piece or more of an ornament? What is the finish?

Thank you Yes I see her putting cookies on it or sim. that's why the finish was Tung Oil & wax.
