You know what I mean, those things you use to tighten or loosen a chuck onto the headstock and in the case of the Vicmarc 90, open and close the jaws. I was always worried about losing them as I have not seen likely replacements in any shops near here. However I had a brainwave (small one) recently). Tent stakes from the local camping shop. Work like a charm, in my case came in three different sizes so perfect as I had different sizes required. Had to grind one down a little but easily done. One little word of advice- do not front up to the counter and say "I have a micrometer and want to measure the width of you tent pole" - don't ask me how I know but the case comes up for a hearing next week:)
