Hi guys, I was turning a large red gum blank and remembered
seeing somewhere , (on you-tube i think) a good tip to easily
size your tenon or expansion for your chuck , this was not my
idea , and apologies to the person , i can, t remember who it
was, If anyone does ,,please let me know ......so we can credit them...
Anyway , 1 pencil , 2 small blocks , some tape and it, s done,
I think a photo explains better , just put in a live centre in the tailstock
place the pencil with the blocks attached on top and spin the blank.....
And hey presto.....! a clear measurement of your chuck size
