Red Gum with spirals approx dia 10 cm or 4" finished in Nitrocellulose. Came from an old stump I found locally, this piece is from the root section.

Hi hughie,
Beautiful piece , well done , i will have to have
a crack at one of these one day, when i have some time
to spare , not too sure about the foot ! I looks like
it doesn, t belong or has been stuck on afterwards......
Just my opinion , for what thats worth :C

Chalk another one up for Hughie! :U

For some reason I can imagine that as part of a dinner service. Throw in a large platter and a few medium sized serving bowels with similar treatments and arrange 'em in the middle of the table so it looks like they all mesh together in a gear-train...

Not sure about that bottom, but that piece of wood would have tested your patience Hughie? Good outcome any way.
