Three pieces from the workshop 1 for a competition 1 as a present and the last for my sales stock.

The first is tulip wood and was started at 4pm one day and completed by 6pm the next including drying times don't normally attempt that.

The last 2 are spalted beech. I know people don't like the beads on top because of dusting but what the hell I am not the one that will be dusting.

You surely make good use of your lathe Derek, even in the very hot Canterbury summer...
The bowls have turned out beautifully though while the timber is pretty, the skill of the craftsman had more to do with the high quality end result....top job sir!!
Cheers, Peter

Love the spalting in those pieces. Don't have to do much to get the best out of a plain wood.

I am also not a big fan with beads on the top of the bowl, it does seem to work on this piece.
