These two bits of camphor laurel were a bit small and uninspiring, but I reckoned they were worth a try before cremation. The first one was the outer slice taken from a log, not much timber so a natural edge bowl seemed like a good idea. It turned out not too bad but very plain, so I added a motif for fun.
About 225mm long, 175wide and 60mm deep.

This one also looked a bit plain so I fitted an inlaid veneer banding.

This one is 225mm diameter and 80mm deep. Both finished with sanding sealer and two sprayed coats of lacquer.
