Hi all,

I've been asking Triton to make the clamps on the Triton Router Sliding Plate into the quick release mounts. Like the one on the Triton table saw and Triton Saw mounts.

As I've just been hanging out for the new Triton Router table because it has the quick release on the mounting plate (no longer a sliding plate).

Once I sorted out that the new router table mounting plates won't work on the superceeded router table, I researched further and found that the new routing plate has a new mounting system. Which I'll call the 'Easy Release'.

The easy release uses thumbwheels to tighten the router to the plate. Which makes it easy to release. Hence 'Easy Release'.

I was desperate to see if the mounting assemble for the new router plate would fit the superceeded model.

It does. Without modifications (for my Bosch ACE).

Although it needs the coach bolts from the superceeded sliding plate to fit properly.

I also loose about 3mm with the new clamping assembly. But at the moment is of no concern with the Bosch router and Triton router bits.

I payed less than AU$20 for the clamping assembly.

Make sure you tell Matt at Tritons customer service desk that I sent you.
