A shirt, a vest, pants! Better than my Sunday best. The work attire of old timey vids always seems to amaze me. If they saw what I worked in, they would probably think I live on the street...

Dont forget the pocket watch and low impact glasses.

You can see the skill of a thousand repetitions. I was surprised at the height of the rest.

In 13 years it will be a century. We might have fancy HSS or carbide tipped bits and fuss endlesly over dust extraction, or variable speed drives, but the techniques havent changed much at all.

That spike thing he used at the bottom of the bowl was interesting. It was a sort of scoop. Very interesting.

I'd say that the biggest change is the use of chucks.

They managed to get by without modern chucks just fine. Without HSS and without fancy sharpening jigs too. The bowl gouge if that is what it was looked very shallow in profile compared to todays tools but he looked like he was on top of things. Nice to watch.
