Table Design

I have a large slab of river red gum that I would like to make a dining room table from and am looking for a book that would cover this type of project, I have found books on tressle, kitchen, hall & outdoor but none on formal dinning (if that is what they are called) any suggestions of a book and publisher would be appreciated as I don't want to order a book just from a publishers list and find out it has very little info in it.

Making the top is no problem it's the base type of timber, sizes and attaching I've not much of an idea.
