I have been trolling the internet and came upon the following turned piece. Does anyone know the woodturner that may have turned it. It has been done by someone who is quite professional and I am hoping someone may recognise it.

I can't help you on the maker, but when you find out, tell him that he needs to share how it was done. Definitely different.. .. Jerry (in Tucson)

Might be a challenge as many make these emerging bowls, but this will get you started

Whilst not exactly the same, a few years ago Guilio Marcolongo did a demonstration at our woodturning club of " An Emerging Box".

For your information here is a link to our Club's newsletter (http://media.wix.com/ugd/27b9d4_4aed2baa99ed4c4080a8610317546f87.pdf) describing the project.

Hope that helps in working out your project.

Peter.

Most articles on this technique refer back to "Irwin Seidman, and this article of his:

Woodturner's Resource Woodturning Project (http://www.woodturnersresource.com/extras/projects/Emerging_Bowl/emerging_bowl.html)

Not sure that your pic is his work though...

Cheers,
Andrew
