My first piece of proper turning for a while I spent just under an hour in there and it was cool enough to go into the shed this morning so decided to turn one of my London Plane blanks that I have the finished bowl is 8 3/4" X 1 3/4"

Nicely done(as one has come to expect with you're work) good honest shape and the grain pattern is very nice,is that typical grain and colour to the timber.
Regards Rod.

Well done Dalboy11 :2tsup::2tsup::2tsup:

Lots to like in the shape and the grain which reminds me of Jacaranda grain.

Nice. In spite of artme's "reminds me of Jacaranda grain", if you said it was one of our Silky Oaks, I would not have argued!

Thank you all it is a great wood to turn.

And I still have another 8 blanks this size to work through as well as quite a few hollow form/vase sized blanks. The problem being is that who ever cut the tree down cut it into about 10" long logs which is a shame as the diameter must have been a good 3ft across.

What you may not know in the woodturning you certainly make up for in the modelling side of things Keith:2tsup::2tsup::2tsup:.

It is only practice
