Hello once again everyone I wanted a piece do do some Pyrography on and I had this piece of cherry, but now after turning this piece and seeing the fire in the grain I think I may leave it as it is. just about 15 3/4" D and less than 1" thick finish is Tung oil.

Haven't seen Cherry that size & especially some that hasn't split or cracked.

Beautiful platter Bruce,
Really nice clean lines I would leave it as is personally,clean crisp lines great proportions thanks for posting.

Thanks for every ones kind words I think I'll leave it just as it is and keep this one for my house as well, I think it will look great w/ a bunch of home made cookies on it.

Well done.Thank you not burning this one I've made another platter this time in Teak.
