Bowl turned from the crutch of two branches. Its 150mm diam by 100 mm and finished with shellawax them polished with eee, Branch had several grub holes which were filled with casting resin coloured with coffee grounds.

Finished with Shellawax and polished with eee. First time I had used shellawax and am impressed with it. Definitely use it some more.

Funny you say 'crutch' as I had a debate with my wife recently, I said it was a 'crotch' and she said it was a 'crutch'. Still think I am the one who is correct though!!
By the way nice bowl and nice finish.

The trick with Shellawax is to fine sand down to around 600 of if you have an inertia type sander probably 400 would do

In this case I used an inertia sander up to 320 then hand sand up to about 1200. Finished the inside and top third of the outside before reversing and removing the tenon.

Crutch / crotch, you obviously went to more refined schools than I.
