Twelve months ago I started to play with a new idea. the first on I made out of pine because it was experimental and didn't know if it would work. The lessons learned from that one made me more confident so I use red cedar. I wanted to experiment with a three layer veneer joint, and some unpredicted effects appeared. Just about got a handle on this idea now, so mark four is developing. This last one is Queensland maple and stands 200mm high and130mm diameter. Finished with sprayed lacquer.
Where to now???
