It's been slow for a while, this thread is just one that just won't fully load (completed 62 of 63 items). Has someone got some illegit smileys going again?

Craig,
You weren't he only one, I tried a number of times and this forum wouldn't load:( Had no problems getting onto other sites and searches, but gave up trying here. All good this morning though...

Hi

We have a script that backs up the database every second night, it runs at 7:45pm and is usually finished at 8:20ish. When its dumping data from large tables like 'attachments' or 'post' or 'search index' the table will be locked and wont allow any reads or writes until its completed. The whole database is about 1GB and has 6,000,000+ records so the backup takes awhile to run.

I'll try running the backup in the early am instead.

cheers
