Lignum Vitae bowls make great mallets, however has anyone turned the hard and heavy Henselite synthetic bowls inot mallets?

Thanks

Funny. I saw an article on that in Australian Wood Review (?) recently. Maybe you did as well. I've been keeping an eye out for an old bowl or two myself.

Be interested to know how you get on.

I've got a ten-pin ball stashed away that I haven't used for 7 or 8 years but I'm not about to chuck that on the lathe to see what happens! (Unless you guy's show us some really cool results from doing so!!!)

My old ball is the black type they say is no good - think I'll keep it in case they open up an alley out here again!;)
