My first bowl!

Well the tools for the lathe came and i got straight into it!!:D
I made up a couple of pens out of jarrah and huon then decided i would chuck up a myrtle burl i had lying around.:rolleyes:

after about an hour of turning this is what came out
it measures about 12cm across and about 5 cm deep...
I sanded to 800 grit the finished with shellawax..
