Does anyone know if he will be exhibiting the jig at the Melbourne Working with Wood Show in October. If so, does he offer the jig at a reduced price to normal; ie is it worth waiting to buy it direct from the show?

Yes, they will be at the Melbourne show, stand number 80. Just received an email from Jenny Gifkin and there will be a show special.
Methinks she has been watching this post as I did not ask about a show special but I would like to see one working.(jig)

I recently used the Gifkins Jig for the first time a couple of weeks ago.I was extremly impressed with the results.
the jig was very easy to use and produced absolutly perfect dovetails within minutes.
there was no tedius setting up and trial/error cuts required,it just worked beautifully straight out of the box.Highly recommended!!!!

We will all be going out to Chachi's Mexican Resteraunt Saturday night and any of you who would like to attend will be most welcome (so long as you don't still expect free coffee). Have you ever noticed the shape of corn chips, could they be used as a template for cutting dovetails? Are Mexican dovetails back to front? I have heard it said that Mexicans have refried beans because they can never get right first time.
