Carbatec are the importers and distributors of CMT and I have not found anyone who stocks them. Total Tools will get them for you as will Belic in Forest Hill. I don't know how they compare pricewise but CMT are probably the most expensive bit on the market, but, they are good. Carbatec can be negotiable and I usually get a few bucks knocked off whatever I buy there.
Having said that my wife says that if I gave up woodworking Carbatec would go broke!

Hi Barry

What's wrong with Carb-I-Tool cutters and they are right on your doorstop. I have a large collection of Carbi-I-Tool cutters and have used them for years. (No I do not work for Carb-I_Tool) They are excellent cutters and their brochure presentation is second to none, as you can order their cutter, and in the meantime make you jig ready for when it arrive ,no need to measure the cutter and calculate your jig.

Carb-I-Tool also have a great selection of Fave/Edge cutters. Cutters not normally purchased because there is nothing written about them. What a statement to make? Well I would be interested in anyone that uses these cutters and what they use them for. I do not want your plans or ideas but just mearly input into how they are used. ( I use them all the time)

I too also have a numerous selection of Carbi-Tool router bits that probably take up a lot of wall space on peg board in their pouches.
The only time I have deviated from these and bought CMT,Dimar, or Jesada is if chasing a profile that better suited the needs at the time.
CMT are a quality bit and appropriately priced being produced overseas in Italy if I'm not mistaken where your dollars suffers from indigestion, but like all quality tools which Carbi-Tool is also classified they hold an edge far longer than the cheap sets around these days.
Bazza check your prices well before committing to one particular brand as the locals give the foreigners a good run for their money.
Just my 2c worth.
