Hi,
im just wondering where i can get some camphor laurel???
i want it to make some vases out of....
As i dont think it grows here... im just wondering if it is available :confused: :confused: somewhere..

plenty up my way.....i got some big peices from my local club for free ( although they are teasing me cos i cant cut em up yet cos i dont have a big enuf saw).......

you could probably get some from around here and sent down to ya.... just ring around a few places and see if they have any in stock and if they will post down to tassie.

In NSW it's a noxious weed, there shzztloads of it, mostly for free.

Problem is the cost of shipping it to the land where sisters are nervous.

Next time you visit, let us know and I'm sure someone can help you out.

heaps of it around here Toowoomba way. Some of the local sawmills may have it, i know Stan at Mullumbimby woodworks has stacks, big turing and carving blanks and the good wood suplliers like Lazarides have nicley cured stuff..

Could I suggest you try Neville Harper at Wild Wood near Stanley. He had heaps of it around Christmas time, and had a couple of big outdoor seats at last weekends WWW show in Adelaide.
