I've only just found the fun of wood carving using the arbortech grinders. However am having problems leveling the bases of things. I was shown years ago a jig for using a router to do the job but have forgoten the concept. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Probably something like a pair of rods thru the base where the fence attaches and a pair of ski like affairs one each side.
Typical router plaining rig. A big wide bit and be sure the bowl is well nailed down.

Light cuts and a substantial care.

Sound familiar?

Not quite the image my memory is dredging up but it will have to do. This other jig was quite complex with controlled hieght levels and enabled unilatteral movement but was probably just an advance on what you have suggested. Thanks
