Been watching the comments on Daryl's post with interest - thanks for helping unravel the subject - it all helps.

Does anyone know of a wood turners guild/club based up here on the Tweed?

For that matter I find I have to use a mail order service just to get scroll saw blades because I do not seem to be able to find any reasonable suplliers up here without travelling to Brisbane or Ballina http://ubb.ubeaut.com.au/ubb/mad.gif
Any recommendations??

Thanks again

Jamie

www.mikesworkshop.com (http://www.mikesworkshop.com) I buy my blades here, damned good blades and cheap too. He charges US$1.00 extra for delivery on the whole order, yes one dollar. Bugger all really when you consider how cheap the blades are in bulk.
My last order was about $80 Oz and enough to keep me going for a lifetime or two.
I just don't worry about breakages anymore.

Hi Jamie,

My wife does quite a bit of scrollsawing and uses only Mike's blades also since she tried them. He even sends you free samples if you don't know his product but take it from us, get some directly, they are the best. Mike will probably ask you what is your need for what kind of work and give you advice if you are not sure of what you need.
