Hi Gang
I am interested in doing some oversize turning on my jet 1642 (greater that 500 m/m dia) and was wondering if any has purchased the outrigger setup for the 1642 or better still made one and can give any advice on making your own.

Cheers
GJ

Been a while since I saw it but maybe google for it. It was someone had taken an outboard adapter for a Vicmarc (I think) and adapted it to a Jet 1642. Didn't look that difficult, drilled a couple of holes in the legs and I think they had to add a couple of shims and it was done.

Sorry but I don't have it here.

Paul

Update - found the thread on the person that did it. Check out http://www.woodturner.org/vbforum/showthread.php?p=12099&mode=linear#post12099

GJ, I have done it on my MC1100 and it should be adaptable to your Jet. It hooks into the existing banjo and has floor support.
