'Day all.
When using a 4 jaw expanding chuck (nova, vicmark etc)with the screw chuck to form the holding tenon or recess in the base of the bowl, leave it in until you check that you have the tenon or recess the right size.
When you are sure it fits remove the screw with a spanner.
